Derek Anderson

Derek is currently in his articling year with the firm, having previously worked as a summer research student prior to completing his last year of law school.

He graduated with an honours bachelor degree and a regular master ’ s degree from Acadia University, and won the University Medal for top student along the way. In law school, Derek was active with Student Legal Services, conductiong a number of trials for indigent persons.

Prior to entering law, Derek spent the better part of a decade in Asia working as a university professor and program administrator, as well as filling in time with freelance journalism. He has written pieces for a number of South Korean and Canadian periodicals, and for a time wrote a regular column for the CBC News website on South Korean issues.
