The Lawyers
Gloria M. Grieco
Gloria graduated from the University of Alberta Law School in 1999, articling with us until her call to the Bar in 2000 when she became an associate with the firm. During law school she was an active volunteer and case worker with Student Legal Services assisting the general public with free legal information and court representation on criminal matters. She worked during her summers with the Youth Criminal Defence office in Edmonton as a research assistant.
Gloria has served on numerous professional boards and community committees, including the Regional Legal Aid Appeals Committee, the Inter-Agency Youth Services executive, and various community leagues and school councils. She retains a strong connection with the Elizabeth Fry Society of Edmonton, a non-profit organization assisting persons in conflict with the law. She was the founder and co-ordinator of the Elizabeth Fry Society’s youth court program in 1990, joined the board of directors of the Elizabeth Fry Society in 2000 and served as its president in 2002. Gloria also volunteers with the Society’s Legal Clinic program operating out of the Edmonton Institution for Women. She is an active member of the Edmonton, Alberta and Canadian Bar associations, Criminal Trial Lawyers Association and Amnesty International.
We are pleased to announce that Gloria recently accepted the firm's offer of partnership, effective January 1, 2006.
