Sarah DeSouza

Sarah graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law with honours in 2002 and articled with us upon graduation. While attending law school, Sarah developed an interest in criminal law, focusing on criminal law courses throughout her academic career. She was awarded the Justice Berger Prize for proficiency in Criminal Trial Procedure, and won the Alberta Court of Appeal moot court competition for criminal law.

Prior to attending law school, Sarah completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree at Wilfred Laurier University in the fields of archeology and history. She was an active member of Laurier's Student Legal Resources project and a writer for the school newspaper.

Sarah's current primary role at the firm is that of a research specialist, providing research and legal memorandums for both our appeal and trial lawyers. She also provides general litigation support both directly to our clients as well as to other lawyers in the firm.
