The Lawyers
Sarah DeSouza
Sarah graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law with honours in 2002 and articled with us upon graduation. While attending law school, Sarah developed an interest in criminal law, focusing on criminal law courses throughout her academic career. She was awarded the Justice Berger Prize for proficiency in Criminal Trial Procedure, and won the Alberta Court of Appeal moot court competition for criminal law.
Prior to attending law school, Sarah completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree at Wilfred Laurier University in the fields of archeology and history. She was an active member of Laurier's Student Legal Resources project and a writer for the school newspaper.
Upon joining our firm as an associate Sarah concentrated on criminal defence work, but also began developing a practice in the areas of immigration and administrative law.
Due to personal commitments Sarah relocated to Sheffield, England and most recently Toronto. Throughout this period however she has remained an associate with the firm, providing remote legal research for client matters and assisting in the preparation of written memoranda for criminal appeals.
