16 year old youth client charged with murder for stabbing death of father. Father stabbed four times in head. Evidence of long history of physical abuse of accused and his mother by deceased. After two years of negotiations, plea to manslaughter accepted by Crown. Sentenced to 16 months custody (minus credit for pre-trial custody) and 8 months community supervision.
