Client accused of possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of Ecstasy. Client was stopped by police and a search of his vehicle revealed 16 pieces of crack cocaine in a secret compartment near the steering wheel and 3 Ecstasy pills in a fuse compartment. Client testified that he was not aware that the drugs were in the car.
RESULT: Client Acquitted of all counts. The Court agreed, in all the circumstances, it was not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that the client was aware the drugs were in his vehicle.
