Accused charged with assault, possession of proceeds of crime, and breaching a court order. Allegation was that accused and another individual (who pleaded guilty) had beaten the complainant in order to collect a $4000 drug debt. Accused was arrested at the airport with several thousand dollars in his possession. At trial accused acquitted of all charges due in large part to demonstrated weaknesses and inconsistencies in complainant’s evidence.
